Harris Colorectal is a specialist Colorectal Surgery practice located in Brisbane, led by Dr Craig Harris. We aim to provide high quality operative and non-operative management of all colorectal conditions, ranging from benign anorectal conditions such as haemorrhoids, to complex pelvic malignancies.
Dr Harris is available for regular outpatient consultations at both St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside (formerly known as Holy Spirit Northside) and in the consulting suites in North Lakes. For patients requiring colorectal surgery this is performed at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside, which has arguably the best colorectal surgery facilities and post operative care in Queensland. In the vast majority of cases, minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgery are used. Colonoscopies and some minor anorectal procedure are also performed in North Lakes at North Lakes Day Hospital.
Dr Harris can promptly see new and existing patients and arrange surgery or further investigations as required. Dr Harris has a particular interest in the management of patients with colon and rectal cancer. Dr Harris has advanced training in the surgical management of locally advanced and recurrent rectal cancer. He regularly performs colon and rectal cancer surgery and pelvic exenteration surgery on patients from all over Queensland at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside. We have strong working relationships with many other specialties such as medical and radiation oncology, gastroenterology, gynaecology and pelvic floor physiotherapy. This allows prompt referral and multidisciplinary team management where appropriate.
